Intimate Paisley Registry Office Wedding
When Holly + Sam told us they were going to have a Paisley Registry Office wedding the day before their ‘big’ celebration, we were delighted to be able to photograph both. Paisley is Liam’s hometown, and we’ve been loving that it’s now home to some great wedding venues (Coats, Paisley Town Hall to name a few). In the end, we decided I (Jo) would fly solo for this one, Paisley Registry Office is about 10 minutes from where we live, and I was only going to be with Holly + Sam for an hour so it was lovely to be able to photograph this part of their story too.
Holly + Sam planned a bigger day with more guests at Coats Memorial and asked Holly’s Uncle David if he would lead their ceremony. H+S got the best of both worlds; a wee wedding with immediate family at Renfrewshire House, followed by a big wedding the next day with all of their friends and family. Winning! Why Paisley Registry Office is Such a Great Spot for Weddings (And Why We’d Love to Shoot More There)
After they officially tied the knot we walked over the road to Paisley Abbey for photographs – what a fantastic building. Once their families headed back to H+S’s house for lunch we took a quick walk round the area, there are so many cool spots a stones throw from Paisley Registry Office. Check it out for yourself below :)
If you’re planning a wedding at Paisley Registry Office, we’d love to hear from you. All in all, I was with Holly + Sam for an hour. Plenty of time to photograph their ceremony, family photographs and a wee mini adventure. I had a blast and would definitely be up for more wee weddings like this!
