Dalgarven House Vegan Wedding | Julie, Bunny and a lil' limbo competition

A Dalgarven House vegan wedding – where do we even start with how awesome this day was? As soon as I met Julie and Bunny in The 78 I knew their day was going to be utterly perfect – they are clearly as crazy about each other as the day they first met and it is completely infectious, you can’t help but get swept up in their happy – and you wouldn’t want it any other way :) Plus – they are also cat parents – with an impressive 7 to our 1…but all that says to me is there is hope for us yet and I will grind Liam down on the subject of owning more cats ;D

We asked Julie if she had any vivid memories from their day, here’s what she had to say;

“I have soooooo many vivid memories! It was the absolute best day of my life! From my Dad’s face when he first saw me in my dress, Bunny balling his eyes out when I walked down the the aisle… and of course the party games at night, limbo, space hoppers – Bunny and I had so much fun! I don’t think I left the dance floor!”

And our memories from the day? Halde the Humanist giving a beautiful ceremony in jeans and Birkenstocks (we love you Halde!), the newlyweds drinking Pina Colada from their quaich, signing their register on their brother-in-laws back instead of a table…the gorgeous Blanka Biernat illustrations on their wedding favours and the best vegan meal we’ve ever had – plus their EPIC ‘first song’ after their first dance – as if this musical pair would do it any other way. Man – they can sing!

What else can we say about this Dalgarven House vegan wedding? The venue itself is an absolute hidden gem of a place, with Volkar and Alexandrea the owners being so lovely and accommodating. They created an entirely vegan wedding meal for the newlyweds – how many venues can say they will do that? As if that isn’t enough, it’s right next to Dalgarven Mill – a quiet, idyllic old museum next to a river – absolute perfection.

Julie & Bunny – thank you so much for choosing us to photograph your epic day. You laughed non-stop and it was goddam delightful :) Also – thank you for trusting us in the evening when we stole you away to chase some goddam gorgeous light – we wish you all the happiness in the world and then some!
