Katy + Nick danced all the way through their Spring Elopement at Achray House and it was so joyful to capture!
They were pretty confident that they wanted to elope, and after a lot of searching fell in love with Achray House. What an absolute gem of a place, and those views! We had originally planned for a later ceremony, taking the chance for an epic sunset, but the weather forecast had other ideas. In the days before their wedding, we changed track to a morning ceremony and the weather was *chefs kiss* One of the many upsides to elopements, more flexibility with your timeline!
Katy + Nick had a really heartfelt humanist ceremony with Lucie on the jetty, and their friend Gary (aka Gary Stoneholder, official holder of the oathing stone) also prepared a speech for the happy couple. Not a dry eye in the house. After the ceremony we had a quick cuppa (every wedding should make time for a cup of tea we think) before adventuring off into the hills for a few hours.
Katy wore her late Granny’s dress, which fit her perfectly. She also made her beautiful teal cloak, and dyed yarn at Sealy McWheely which her friend Sarah then created a shawl with. Perfection, all of it!
What an incredible, lovely day! So romantic! We had a blast!
